PNG tuna exports to the EU from 2009 to 2024 show growth
Since signing the EU Pacific Interim Economic Partnership Agreement in 2009, PNG has gained duty-free access to the EU, fueling rapid growth in tuna exports—from a few thousand tonnes to over 200,000 by 2024. Supported by the Responsible Sourcing Policy, PNG is now a global benchmark in sustainable fisheries, leading in Germany and ranking third in Spain.
